Loch Lomond - 1 Night

The famous Loch Lomond – what better base to start your Scottish Roadtrip? Rest up here and take a leisurely stroll along the loch’s shores or try your hand at some watersports on the loch instead. There’s plenty to do here and if time allows, the Ben A’an hike is worth a go for the more energetic of you. Bear in mind though you’ve another long drive up to Skye from here.

Isle of Skye - 3 Nights

The Isle of Skye is full of hidden gems to explore. To the West of the Island at the foot of Black Cuillin is the River Brittle. Lined with waterfalls and natural archways it is home to the ‘fairy pools’ of Glen Brittle, perfect for wild swimming. To the North of the Island is the most famous walk on Skye, the Old Man of Storr. This pinnacle of rock is part of the Trotternish Ridge and takes around an hour and a half to complete. If you’re looking to sit and relax, join one of the many boat tours on offer around the island and enjoy an afternoon dolphin and seal watching. From the Isle of Skye, take the scenic A87 back down to Fort William.

Fort William - 2 Nights

The gateway to Ben Nevis and the Outdoor Capital of the UK, Fort William, is the ideal base for adventure lovers and has everything from hiking and climbing to skiing. From here you can visit the volcanic landscape of Glencoe, the famous Glenvinnan Viaduct as seen in the likes of Harry Potter. The Lochaber Geopark is a must-visit for its diverse natural landscapes. Spend a day exploring the mountains, beaches, lochs, waterfalls and glens of this stunning Scottish region.

Lake DIstrict - 1 Night

You should have enough time in the Lakes to get a quick bit of walking in, or a chilled evening in one of the friendly Lake District towns, before making the short journey back to Leeds.
