Austin is our Jeep Wrangler and probably unlike anything you’ve ever seen in the UK, but is every bit as fun as he looks! Austin features two-front seats and plenty of storage in the back, giving you a chance to take all the kit you might need on your adventure – in addition to the essentials that we will provide: solar panel, power box, fridge, camping stove and camping chairs and table. He is just as at home off the beaten path wild camping in Scotland as he is weaving through the Yorkshire Dales – and when you’re ready to hit the hay, wherever you are, just head into your rooftop tent box and swap the 4×4 experience for 40 winks.
If you want to stand out from the crowd then we can quite confidently say that we don’t think you’ll be bumping into too many other Jeep Wranglers in this part of the world! It really is a unique experience, sleeping on top of your vehicle for starters – but you can even remove the doors and roof for the ultimate adventure look.
Please note that the Jeep cannot be driven off-road or in 4×4 mode as it is not insured for this purpose.
Whilst you may not have seen many tent boxes around the UK before, you’ll certainly want to make sure you try them. If you’ve ever been camping before, you know the worst bit, especially if you’re on a roadtrip too, is setting up and packing away your tent – again and again, and again. With the TentBox – it doesn’t matter what terrain you’re on, dry or soaking wet because you’re pitched up 2m in the air! As you’re able to keep your bedding, mattress and the ladder all in the tent box, your cosy home can be easily set up in less than a minute and it’s just as easy to pack it away for a quick get away the following morning.
Despite the outdoorsy exterior, don’t look past the luxury included here too. The rooftop TentBox is thermally insulated and completely weather proof, meaning those winter escapades are definitely on the cards! So put aside any niggling thoughts that camping in anything but a motorhome should only be for summer and trust us that our Jeep Wrangler and TentBox together provide the perfect combo for a two-person holiday home on wheels, for your next big adventure.
You’ll be surprised at how much space is at your disposal too; hang out sprawled in your tent box looking out from your high perch, or how about setting up a table and chairs under the awning? You’ve always got the option to open the boot and chill in the back of the Jeep, or if it feels right, just go outright American and lay on the massive bonnet looking up to the stars!
